Field Recording #4: The Manhole

My fourth field recording took place on Sunday, September 28th around 2:52 p.m. I noticed a manhole cover that was slightly ajar on Bradford Avenue, towards the side of the street and decided to hold my mics about two inches above it, while I carefully picked up the cover and let it drop back down. I did this about four times as you will hear, and I thought that it made a very deep "thud" type of sound. I also noticed that the sound resonated for a little while after I dropped the cover each time, because it bounced up and down a few times after the first large "thud" noise . Play Sound Here
